The Jade Dress

The Jade Dress is inspired by the universal feelings of yearning and desire towards a lover. Constructed with a brown, princess seam, halter base dress and adorned with layers of grey tulle, this dress is one of the first in a collection that aims at capturing the rawest moments of human emotion. The choice of industrial colors oppose traditional expectations of tulle as a 'typically' feminine fabric. The beach photoshoot is inspired by a still from the French film Portrait of a Lady On Fire that encapsulates the loneliness and yearning for a lover you are slowly losing (reference shown to the right).
